On 30 September, Baltijos Lizdas, together with The Institute of European Right (EDI), presented a policy paper on moderate climate policy in Lithuania. The event brought together experts and policymakers to discuss how climate goals can be pursued while strengthening the country’s economic competitiveness, energy security and public trust.
The discussion focused on how climate policy can’t only reduce environmental impact but also deliver tangible benefits for people and the country. Key topics included energy independence, economic competitiveness, technological progress and the need to engage a broader cross-section of society in shaping climate policy. The presentation marked the beginning of a broader dialogue on moderate climate policy.
Baltijos lizdas and EDI will continue this conversation at the Common Sense Climate Solutions Forum, taking place in Vilnius on 6 November. The forum will bring together Lithuanian and international experts to explore how climate goals can be reconciled with economic priorities, energy security and the needs of society.
